What I ate on my flight & on a day of FLYING as a VEGAN (tips in description) #shorts #veganuary
Tips on TRAVELLING as a VEGAN (and in general)! Leave more vegan travel tips in the comments
If the flight includes a meal, make sure to contact the airline in advance to request a special vegan meal. Some flights make it easy to do this by letting you choose the special meal when booking or during online check-in; otherwise, you may have to call a few days in advance.
Few days before travel, check your fridge to see what you need to use up, freeze or give away so you don?t end up wasting too much food! I always double check my fresh produce & see what I need to eat/make/use up and freeze anything that can be frozen.
Pack extra meals and snacks for the flight; I always pack lots of food, because airport & plane food sucks & I?m always extra hungry! I pack anything I have on hand but also love protein bars, nuts, and anything that?s has some sustenance. Just make sure you don?t have liquids or creams as they won?t be allowed on the flight.
Bring an empty (preferably insulated) water bottle with you to the airport to fill with water after you pass security. Who needs a $4 plastic water bottle"" Plus if you have an insulated water bottle (especially if you?re travelling to a hot climate), it?ll keep your water cold & fresh tasting all day.
